The island invented a way of playing records that the rest of the world copied badly for forty years. The record here is kept in three languages, Catalan in the villages, Spanish in the gazettes, English in the booth, and this road reads all three. Sunset first, hippie market money second, and the long adjournment after midnight.
This is a summer island and most of this road keeps summer hours. Pacha opened its 2026 season on 24 April, Amnesia on 9 May with its fiftieth anniversary programme, Café del Mar's numbered sunset sessions have run since the start of April and close out at the end of October, and Pikes keeps a 10 April to 31 October calendar. Between November and Easter a visitor finds shutters on four of these five doors; Bar Anita in Sant Carles is the winter exception. Come in season or do not come.

Bar Anita
Sant Carles kept its shop, its post office and its bar under one roof, and the pigeonholes where the sixties freaks collected their letters are still on the wall behind the counter. Ana Marí Torres, the Anita on the sign, took the reins of the family business in the 1940s, opened the bar as the village knows it in 1960, and died on 17 May 2026, seven weeks past her hundredth birthday. The house still makes its own hierbas ibicencas the slow way, and a glass of them from the barrel is the order, with a montadito or a slice of flaó if you are staying on. Almond country outside, the church square across the way, and none of the island's noise. Doors open at a quarter past seven most mornings and the room pours until one. The old Ibiza, still at it.

Café del Mar
José Padilla did not invent the sunset, but from 1991 on this west facing rail he invented the habit of scoring it, and the applause at the last sliver of sun is his monument. Honesty about the premises: the room that pours today is a big two storey terrace, and the little 1980 local by Lluís Güell, all marble and ice cream parlour curves, still stands beside it. The bar opened on 20 June 1980 and the compilations that carried the name around the world started in 1994. Order a cocktail, slowly, facing the water, and do not talk over the last ten minutes. Sessions are numbered daily on the house site, which is how we know the 2026 season started at the beginning of April. It runs to the end of October; in August come an hour early for a seat.

Pikes
Tony Pike bought a wrecked finca called Can Pep Toniet in 1978, rebuilt it largely by hand, and opened the hotel on 4 July 1980. In 1983 Wham! filmed Club Tropicana around this pool, with Pike himself shaking the cocktails on camera, and on 5 September 1987 Freddie Mercury held his forty first birthday here: the bill to Queen's manager famously included 350 bottles of Moët and 232 broken glasses. Pike died in February 2019; the Ibiza Rocks people have run the place since 2008 and kept it a hotel where the party is the point. Book dinner, move to the bar, and let the night decide the rest, with a bed on site so the decision can be honest. Club nights run from nine, and the season is 10 April to 31 October.

Pacha
Ricardo Urgell opened the first Pacha in Sitges on 22 July 1967 and this one on 15 June 1973, a farmhouse that grew into a club of about three and a half thousand without losing the shape. The owners went corporate a while ago: Trilantic bought the group in 2017, Dubai's FIVE Holdings took it on in October 2023, and Universo Pacha SA remains the company on the door. The cherries are the badge of the house, and a drink taken under them is the whole order; nobody needs a second instruction. Solomun has kept his Sunday residency since 2013, with Marco Carola and Flower Power carrying the rest of the week. The cadastre settles the address argument: Avinguda 8 d'Agost 19. Doors around midnight, and the 2026 season opened on 24 April.

Amnesia
Antonio Escohotado, philosopher and future historian of drugs, leased an eighteenth century finca from an aristocratic widow in 1976 and opened it as El taller del olvido, entry with a beer for 25 pesetas. As Amnesia it stayed open to the sky, and from 1983 the Argentine exile Alfredo played the mixed up sunrise records that visiting Londoners carried home in 1987 and turned into acid house; the lineage is undisputed. The retractable roof arrived with the noise rules in the nineties, the foam came later, and Martín Ferrer has owned the room since 1991, with his son Mar-T running the booth. The fiftieth anniversary season opened on 9 May 2026 with a party that ran for more than a day. Order a drink on the Terrace, the room the roof was built over, and stay for the morning.
